Award-winning Norwegian supergroup Highasakite takes over Unity Arena on September 27th!
Highasakite announces their biggest concert ever
Award-winning Norwegian supergroup Highasakite are getting ready to make history with their biggest concert ever when they take over Unity Arena on September 27th.
With a career that includes multiple Spellemann awards, international tours and songs that have been streamed millions of times, Highasakite has become one of Norway's most iconic bands. Their 2014 album Silent Treatment broke all records when it spent 134 weeks on the VG chart. They have since been at the top of all the major Norwegian festival posters and sold out several arenas. In the last two years, they've played to over 250,000 people in total. "No other Norwegian artist surpasses this show" and "Highasakite to new heights" are some of the headlines last fall's tour resulted in. Now they're taking their live show to a new level in the country's largest indoor arena, where the audience can expect a visual and musical experience unparalleled in the band's history.
"This is a dream we've been working towards for many years," says vocalist Ingrid Helene Håvik. "This will be the biggest production of our career so far and we can't wait to show the audience what we're planning."
With new music and spectacular productions in the pipeline, the band promises that this concert will be something out of the ordinary. Audiences can expect a set that includes both old favorites and surprises from their latest releases.
"We want to create an experience that surpasses anything we've done before," concludes Håvik.
The hunt for 49 Golden Tickets
For three weeks, the band has had a mysterious live broadcast of a red room on their website where there have been constant hints as to where or how to get hold of Golden Tickets, which is also the name of one of the band's most famous songs. No one has known what these tickets are for, but fans have been running around the city looking for tickets or eagerly trying to solve codes.
Along the way, some fans got to hear demos of new songs in the band's own studio and 40 lucky ticket holders got their very own intimate concert with the band. (See video from the concert here.)
It's also clear that these tickets are free tickets to some of the best seats in Unity Arena when Highasakite plays there on September 27.
