Volbeat, consisting of Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Jon Larsen (drums) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass), will release their ninth album "God Of Angels Trust" on June 6th. At the same time, the band announces that they are ready for a massive tour, and will take over Unity Arena on Saturday, October 18th!

The last time they visited Norway they headlined Tons of Rock in 2023 and it's a pleasure to welcome them back!

The Danish band has had ten #1 songs on Billboard Mainstream Rock airplay, more than any other band based outside North America. With their upcoming album "God Of Angels Trust", they throw caution out the window, ignoring their comfort zone and paying little attention to traditional songwriting in search of something even more catchy and surprising. The end result is guaranteed to excite the band's dedicated fan base!

"In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them," Poulsen says. "This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album."

"In some ways, it feels like we've come full circle," Poulsen continues. "If you start drawing a circle over an extended period of time, eventually you're going to get back where you started, and that's how I feel now. I've dealt with medical operations, lineup changes, and all these things, and now it feels like a rebirth. It doesn't feel like we're doing our ninth studio album, it feels like we're on our first album again and there's something really refreshing about that."

Transportation

We strongly recommend everyone to use public transportation to Unity Arena, which is only a 15-20 minute walk from Lysaker station, a hub for buses, trains and airport trains. Several bus routes take you efficiently and quickly to the arena and back again. For specific routes and timetables from your stop, visit www.ruter.no.

We recommend that you do not drive to Unity Arena as there may be traffic jams to get in and out of Fornebu.

If you still need to drive, there are parking spaces opposite Unity Arena, as well as in the parking garage at Fornebuporten and IT Fornebu. Follow the signs "P-mot betaling". Here there are parking tickets available that are valid throughout your visit.

Shuttle buses will be provided to and from Unity Arena. The buses are clearly marked and depart from Tollbukaia by Oslo Børs (right by Oslo S) and directly to Unity Arena between 16:00 - 20:00. After the concert, the buses return directly to the same location.
